Meet Matthew

Master of Architecture; University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; May 2018
Architectural Designer; Architectural Expressions, LLP; 2018-Present

In 2018 I completed six years at the U of I where I received my Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and my Master of Architecture. Since then, I have been employed by Architectural Expressions, LLP, a full-service architectural and engineering firm based in Forsyth, IL. As an Architectural Designer, I have gained experience in all aspects of architectural work from concept through construction. I have been sole designer for, or contributed to, projects ranging from small residential additions to large industrial facilities.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering with the Monticello Railway Museum. There, I have had the chance to contribute towards railroad equipment restoration, track maintenance, and exhibit design. I have also begun to more-thoroughly explore an interest in the design and operation of the Fred Harvey hotels, which once stretched across the American Southwest.
